There are times when the actual cost of an item in a given estimate is different than the default cost in the Costbook. In these cases, you can change the unit cost of the item for the purposes of the estimate without affecting the default cost in the Costbook. To adjust the unit cost of a Costbook item, follow these steps.
1. From the estimate screen, locate the Costbook item you wish to modify and click on the amount listed in the Unit Cost field.
2. When the cursor appears, enter the new unit cost and click Enter. The unit cost will be adjusted, and the price updated where appropriate.
