In the Totals Area, you can change the Profit Amount or Margin when you change either of these values the program will adjust the estimate items where the profit can be adjusted. The percentage can fluctuate depending on the profit margins of the estimate items. If you have a lot of fixed priced items on the estimate it may not be able to adjust your profit dollars or margin to the amount you entered. If you have all fixed priced items, you will not be able to adjust this amount at all. This profit margin percentage is calculated as follows subtotal divided by profit $. You can also choose to edit the Sub-Total or Grand Total of the estimate, each is outlined in the following areas:
