Imported DMX does not show Work Areas

You need to add work areas to the Drawing before it gets exported to a DS|Manage360 DMX file. When using Manage 360 to generate an Estimate from a drawing, the best way to organize the estimate is to separate items into work areas or phases. It is easiest if you do this in DS|Design. DS|Design has a tool called Group Labels into Work Areas for Quotation that allows you to select labels to be grouped into a work area or work phase. This tool is found under the Related Tasks heading in the DynaSCAPE Design sidebar folder:

In order to group your labels you must first choose a name and a color for your labels. The colors will help you distinguish which labels belong to each group on the drawing.

Follow these steps to choose work area names and colors:

1. Click on the Group Labels into Work Areas for Quotation button to open the Quotation Groups panel.

2. Click on the Add button to open the Add Quotation Groups panel. Type in the name of the first group or phase and choose the color for those labels and click OK.

3. Continue adding as many work areas as needed. DynaSCAPE will automatically choose the next available unique color for each work area you add. You can also decide to change or choose a unique color manually.
